How to connect to a Channel Manager via TravelgateX

Connecting to a Channel Manager can be confusing, so we've prepared this Quick Guide for you - read on!

First, check out which Channel Managers are available via TravelgateX in our Network webpage , selecting "Channel Manager" from the "company Type" option.

Note that in order to connect to a Channel Manager you should first be a Buyer in TravelgateX (if you are not yet integrated with us, please check our articles on how to Get Started as a New Buyer on TravelgateX).
The connection with Channel Managers implies that:
  • As a Buyer, you will be able to use our Inventory extranet to create the Setup/Structure of the hotels, rates and rooms contracted with the Channel Manager/Hotels. Please note that you will create each Hotel Structure based on what you've agreed with each Hotel.
  • The Channel Manager will be able to extract the codes of the hotels, rates and rooms created and they will map against this data in order to load the availability and prices into our system.
  • As a Buyer, you will be able to get/book the inventory via our API.

Already connected with us as a Buyer? Check out the following guide!

Connect to a Channel Manager: Step-by-step guide

  1. Some Channel managers require you to sign a contract with them as well as with the hotel. Check with the Channel Manager if this is how they work and don't forget to inform them that you will connect to them using TravelgateX.

  2. Log into our website and request the activation of the connection. The Channels below have some specific information you will need to get from them before requesting the activation.

3. We will then contact the channel and get everything ready in our system for you to start.

4. We will deliver the access/configuration to connect via API and the Inventory extranet credentials after making different configuration settings in our system. Once you have access to the Inventory extranet you can watch these helpful videos📽️ and find out more details in the extranet documentation here to get acquainted with all the functionalities available for you.

5. The next step in order for the channel to be able to continue with the process of going live with you would be to create a pilot hotel, which will be used for product loading tests. Check the SetUp section in our documentation to know how to do it. We recommend that you use a real hotel you'll be working with, as all tests with it will be done with real product and will be easier to proceed with going live after that.
